Nicolae Dascalu (Rumänien)
Orthodox priest, general director of the TRINITAS cultural-missionary Institute. Cultural counselor at the Metropolitanate of Moldavia and Bucovina. Directed several TV documentaries about the Roumanian monasteries and the spiritual dimension of the pilgrimage. Periodically organizes conferences on religion and media, theology and cinema. Since 2005 member of the Steering Committee WACC-ERA.

Maggie Morgan (Egypt)

Maggie Morgan (Ägypten)
Producer of independent documentaries in Cairo. PhD. in history of arts concerning the autobiography in the Egyptian literature and cinema. She has produced over twenty films on intercultural relations and Egyptian women. Studies in contemporary cinema in Egypt (Nasrallah, Chahine, Abdel Sayed) as well as articles on the cinema especially documentary in the Near East. Member of the Ecumenical Jury in Cannes.

Ruben Rossello (Switzerland)

Ruben Rossello (Schweiz)
Studies in law at the University of Geneva and modern literature in Milan. Working as a journalist at the Italian speaking Swiss Television (TSI) since 1988. Director of documentaries since 1997. Member of the pastoral council of the diocese of Lugano between 1992 and 1998. Member of the Ecumenical Jury in Locarno 2005.

 

Brigitta Rotach Schmid (Switzerland)

Brigitta Rotach Schmid (Schweiz)
Studies in Protestant Theology and assistant at the Zürich Faculty of Theology. Working as a journalist at the German speaking Swiss Television (SF) since 1996. Currently responsible for «Sternstunde Religion» a broadcast on religious themes. Member of the Ecumenical Jury in Locarno 1998.

 

 

Carlo Tagliabue (Italy) – President

Carlo Tagliabue (Italien) – Präsident
Professor for history and theory of cinema at the University Perugia, the Salesian University in Rome and the «Scuola Nazionale di Cinema Cinecittà» in Rome. President of the national association «Centro Studi Cinematografici». Director at RAI Italia, public broadcasting. Several times member of the Ecumenical Jury in Locarno.

Magali Van Reeth (France)

Magali Van Reeth (Frankreich)
Responsible for cinema education in the diocese of Lyon. She has been working as press attaché for the Ecumenical Jury at the Cannes Film Festival for the past four years. Journalist and film reviewer for the federation of Christian Radios in France 1990-2001. Member of FIPRESCI and board member of the French «Union des journalistes». Member of SIGNIS juries in Amiens, Alba and the Ecumenical Jury in Karlovy Vary.
